Arbor Parent App & Parent Portal
We will soon be launching the new Arbor Parent App and Parent Portal, which will become our main system for communication between school and home, replacing the Greenhouse app.
The Arbor system will allow parents and carers to:
- Receive school messages and updates
- Check attendance information
- Book parent consultation appointments (from Autumn 1 2026)
- Make payments for trips and clubs (from Autumn 2 2026)
The rollout will take place in phases:
- Year 1 and Year 5 families will receive welcome emails on 2nd June 2026
- EYFS and Years 2, 3, 4 and 6 families will receive welcome emails on 22nd June 2026
Drop-in support sessions will also be available to help families activate and use the app.
Families will shortly receive a Data Capture Form to check and update contact information before launch.
Further guidance and support will be shared in the coming weeks.
School Priorities 2025
Please take a moment to view this year’s School Priorities. These have been shaped by feedback from our whole school community — including parents.
Your views are invaluable in helping us move forward together, please share your feedback with us.
Weekly Newsletter
Stay up to date with what’s happening in school each week through our newsletter. Read more here.
Change of School Catering Provider – from 5th January 2026
From Monday 5th January 2026, our school meals will be provided by Olive Dining, replacing Wilson Jones. We want to remind parents of how the system currently works and highlight what will change:
- Automatic meal booking: All children are automatically booked a school meal (this has been in place since September).
- Meal selection: Pupils will choose their meal at the counter—no need to select a meal preference on Scopay.
- Packed lunches: If your child prefers to bring a packed lunch from home, no Scopay selection is required.
Uniform
Year 4 children are expected to show a positive example to others through their behaviour and appearance. This includes wearing the correct school uniform and PE kit at all times.
Please note:
- Only stud earrings are permitted (no other jewellery, except the Sikh Kara).
- Smart watches and large hair bows are not allowed.
- On PE days, stud earrings should be removed and a sweatband must be worn over a Kara.
- Long hair should be tied back or plaited for health and safety reasons.
For full uniform and PE kit guidelines, please click here.
Thank you for your continued support.
PE Days
PE days are Tuesday and Friday (swimming will commence on 08/10/25– Wednesdays – and will replace Friday’s PE lessons).
Children must come to school dressed in full PE kit on their PE day.
Home Learning
Reading
Daily reading is a key part of your child’s learning. It is important for all children to read at home every day. Please support us by reading with your child and encouraging reading as a regular routine. Books can be changed once your child finishes it. It is their responsibility to select their new book during the morning session of the school day. It would be helpful to remind your child to bring their book to school each day.
Homework
Year 4 homework will include daily reading, spellings, English / topic and maths. Homework will be based on what we have been learning about in school that week.
All homework will be set on a Friday. This should be completed and brought into school by the following Friday.
